Staff Notes: We adore this...and the fact that the torches...REMOVE! Yes, you can light all three candles...and grab one..and wander around should you need to during a power outage but not lose where you came from.
We did test to see if you could take those dollar store glass container candles....they actually do fit inside the latice holder..so you can avoid wax drip should you wish to. We also found that during "outside" work....we could easily bury the bottom end into the ground a bit so the individual torches stood in formations we needed to while not setting things on fire 
The choices of use are yours and we adore the few we purchased for ourselves. Oh yes, we needed more than just one!
